Thanks to HUGGIES (be sure to click the huggies link!) for sponsoring this post! While this is a sponsored post, it is with good cause. Huggies has asked bloggers to share about a local cause. By sharing, that cause could win a $2,000 grant from Huggies! (Yay Huggies!)

I would like to take the time to tell you about the Parkville Women's Clinic. A few years back the hubs was asked to sing at a charity event hosted by PWC, at the time it was called Hands for Hope.  I, of course attended the event and it was then that I feel in love with their mission. Their mission seems so simple and yet so powerful. They provide knowledge and support. More specifically, they provide those services to women (a lot of them teens) facing an unplanned pregnancy.

They provide free pregnancy tests.
They provide confidentiality to everyone. (even those under the age of 18)
They provide free limited ultrasounds.
They provide information on the reality of abortions, std's, and the morning after pill.
They provide counseling and support.
They provide health care by real health professionals.
They provide material items.
They provide prayer.
They provide choices.
They provide a way to choose life.
They provide support during, and even more importantly after the pregnancy.

I usually try to keep this blog light hearted. However this whole ministry really tugs at my heart... because you see I know this girl...and when she was 15 she was faced with an unplanned pregnancy... she had no job...no husband...she didn't even have a high school diploma. She had major obstacles in her way. Despite a lot the people, and I do mean a lot of people, telling her to end the pregnancy...telling her she was too young...telling her she would never make it...despite all that she chose life. CHOSE LIFE!

That girl was my mom. #chooselife
