homemade granola // step one: watch crazy food documentaries (and I do mean plural) that tell you how bad processed food is for you // step two: if step one wasn't enough be sure to watch the news and read articles like this, this, and this. // step three: go on a rampage removing most processed foods from your house...and make a conscious effort to buy food that have only3 to 5 ingredients...and have ingredients you can actually pronounce. // step four: now your ready to make homemade granola // step five: make granola...I made a small batch...and I made this plain...you can add TONS of goodies...coconut...nuts...chocolate chips....raisins...cranberries.

you'll need: 4 cups of oatmeal, 1/4 cups of flour, 1/3 cup of brown sugar,  1/2 cups of honey, 1/4 cup of canola oil or grape seed oil, 1/2 tsp of salt, and parchment paper (this is a must). Mix all ingredients (including an extra flavors you want to add)  into a bowl and spread over parchment paper. Bake at 325 for 25 mins...at 25 mins start checking the color of your granola...keep baking in about 5-10 mins increments until desired crispness...I like my granola a little more crispy...my kiddos no so much... :)

* feel free to eliminate steps 1 - 3 .

So tell me have you ever made homemade granola?
How do you feel about processed foods?
