I love Saturdays that turn into adventures.
I love rainy days that turn into memories.
A few weeks ago we set off to find a kids carnival, only to find out it was canceled due to rain.
We decide to take a county drive...and stumbled upon Mt. Gilead Church and School.
This is such a neat historical sight...and more importantly makes for a great photography sight.
There is an old school, a church, cemetery, and even a water pump.
It was funny watching our children try and figure out how to use it. I informed them that I have a water pump like that in the house I lived in when I was in Jr. High.
The school is said to be one of the only schools that still had class during the civil war.
The ground even has a cemetery...that brought on plenty of conversations. Talks of life, God, ages of death, named, the year those passed.
We headed out early due to a wedding...but we got to peak inside the church before leaving.
Our country drive took us to a house with land...that was for sale...we walked around and dreamed a little...and named our future goats. ( shadrach meshach abednego and daniel jr. )
We rushed home to walk Samson before the thunderstorms rolls in. We sat on the back porch and watched the storms.
It was a dreamy rainy Saturday.
