I'm from Kansas City, and it is true what they say...the BBQ here is gooooooooood.

Honestly one of my favorite grilled BBQ dishes can be made at home and...dare I say it...the majority of it is cooked in a slow cooker????

I am going to show you how to make KC Masterpiece ® BBQ Sauce Mi and Dry Rub slow cooker country spare rib sandwiches + Simply Lemonade ® cherry limeade.

First up the sandwich...

You'll need:

Country style ribs
KC Masterpiece ® BBQ Sauce Mix and Dry Rub ( which you can pick up at Sam's Club )
Liquid of choice ( I decided to use coffee!! )
Salt, pepper, and garlic powder

side note: KC Masterpiece ® BBQ Sauce Mix and Dry Rub Can be used to make BBQ sauce, dry rub or marinade...it is also great on chicken and veggies!

1.) Mix the seasoning with the correct amount of liquid of your choice. I decided to use coffee, I was really intrigued with the idea of using coffee as the base for this mix. Mix well, until the mixture resembles BBQ sauce.

2.) Lightly season your meat with salt, pepper, and garlic powder...use amount of your choosing.

3.) Place country spare ribs in the slow cooker.

4.) Cover ribs in BBQ sauce, then cook on LOW for 6-8 hours.

While your waiting on your ribs to cook, I highly suggest you treat your self to a refreshing beverage. Cherry Limeades are one of my favorite drinks!!! I love to make them at home.

You'll need:

Simply Lemonade ®
Cherries (in a jar with liquid)
Ice
1 lime

1.) Fill your cup up with ice, the more ice the better. #iloveice

2.) Add Simply Lemonade® to the ice and then about a tablespoon of juice from your cherry jar to your lemonade.

side note: I love Simply Lemonade® because it's all natural, has no added preservatives, colors, or artificial flavors.

3.) Squeeze the juice from 1/4 of a lime into your drink.

Give your drink a little mix, and enjoy!

6 hours later.....

Your ribs are done!!! You can simply serve them up like this with sides. They are really that good, they fall apart, and they are sooooooo tender. I love the savory flavor the coffee provided.

Orrrrrrrr. You can turn this pork into mouth watering sandwiches.

You'll need:

Cooked ribs (shredded up)
Bread of your choice (I used sourdough)
Mayo (optional)
Shredded cheese

1.) Lay parchment paper ( no need to clean more than needed ) down on a skillet or cookie sheet.  Then lay bread on top of the paper.

2.) Place shredded meat on the bread slices.

3.) Top meat with cheese, and then add mayo to the top slice of bread...and then add to top of sandwich.

4.) Now its time to throw these sandwiches on the grill!!!!! This is my favorite way to eat these! It makes backyard entrainment soooooo easy! Most of the work is done! The meat was cooked all day long. The sandwiches can be prepped ahead of time, and all you have to do it grill them up once your guest arrive! Grill about 10 mins at 350 degrees...just enough to toast the bread and melt the cheese.

Enjoy your tasty KC Masterpiece ® BBQ Sauce and Dry Rub slow cooker country spare rib sandwiches and be sure to wash it down with a homemade Simply Lemonade ® cherry limeade.

Sounds like the perfect summer meal...
