Homemade apple sauce. Go ahead, roll your eyes, but then be sure to make this and thank me later.

This couldn't be easier to do, the sauce is sweet with the right amount of tang!

You'll need

6 apples - washed, peeled, cored, and sliced ( I like organic honey crisp )
1/2  freshly squeezed lemon
1/3 cup of brown sugar (add more if you like your sauce sweet)
1 tbsp. cinnamon (more if you like a stronger cinnamon taste)
1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp. PURE maple syrup (optional)

Place all ingredients in the slow cooker. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on High for 4 hours. Sauce is done when apples are soft. You can smash the apples with a potato smasher or blend fine in a food processor. You can store in the fridge once cool for about a month or can for an ever longer shelf life.

+ This taste GREAT warm on top of ice cream.
+ You can substitute this for oil in any baking recipe.
+ You can use this for baby food.
+ It taste great cold straight out of the jar.
+ It taste great on ice cream.
+ Your house smells amazing while this is cooking

Would you ever try this?
Have you ever made home made apple sauce?
