No bake granola. People, I promise you it doesn't get any easier than this recipe!
step one: // as always, feeling convicted about your eating habits is always helpful ... i like scare tactics like food documentaries. // step two: vow to eat healthier // step three: gather ingredients: oats (i like organic) , peanut butter (i like organic) , honey (again in its purest form) , a very small amount of goodies ( i like raw pumpkin seeds, banana chips, chia seeds, quinoa, pretty much whatever you fancy, and chocolate chips (hey, everything in moderation...besides without chocolate chips i wouldn't be able to convince my children it's sort of like a cookie) // step four: purchase a small amount of pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, banana chips, and then watch the cashier look up every item while feeling the glares from the people in line wondering why on earth would you purchase only 5 banana chips? good times, good times. // step five: recruit some small children to help. // step six: explain why the pumpkin seeds are green and inform small children that while yes, they are green they are not at all like green beans. // step seven: regret step five. // step eight: heat up 1/4 cup of peanut butter and 1/4 cup of honey for 15 seconds in the microwave. // step nine: mix any goodies plus 1 1/2 cups of oats into a bowl. // step ten: add melted honey and peanut butter to oat mixture. // step eleven: smash into a dish and refrigerate for at least one hour, cut into bars or crumble into snack form. // step twelve: marvel at your domesticated awesomeness and enjoy your healthy homemade granola.
