This activity is such a simple and east boredom buster!!! We have made and used this at least 10 times in the last few weeks!
You only need a handful of ingredients, ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry!
You'll need:
cornstarch
water
food dye
That's it! You could get exact measurements...or you could just mix until its a paint like consistency. That's what I did! If you are worried about staining your concrete I would water this down a tad bit more and go easy on the dye. I haven't had any issues with this permanently staining our driveway...now if we use a really dark color...it doesn't wash off right away...but it does after a good rain storm or the hose. To be on the safe side, I tend to take the hose to the dark colored paint when we are finished for the day.
You can take this activity one step further and create a lesson to show how mixed colors can create another color. RED + BLUE = PURPLE!
