I've taken pumpkin bread to a whole new level.

I topped it with streusel and a homemade maple glaze.

Not to toot my own horn...buuuut...toot! toot! This turned out amazing!!

I'm going to share this amazing recipe...because I'm not a jerk...and I want you to taste this deliciousness.

First you'll need to make a basic pumpkin bread recipe:

3 1/2 cups of flour // 2 tsp. baking soda // 1 1/2 tsp. salt // 2 tsp. cinnamon // 3 cups of sugar  // 1 cup vegetable oil // 4 eggs // 2/3 cup of water // 1 can (or 2 cups)  of pumpkin //

Mix the dry ingredients and then add the wet. Pour batter into one large loaf pan or into small pans and then bake @350 for 60 to 70 mins. This bread is amazing right out of the oven...and even better if you cover the loaf with foil for a day before eating.

Once you have your pumpkin bread batter made...start working on the streusel...

you'll need:

1 cup of sugar //  1/4 cup of brown sugar // 1/4 teaspoon salt (ONLY IF YOU USED UNSALTED BUTTER) // 1 1/2 cups of flour // 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon // 6 tablespoons of melted butter //

Mix all together until it resembles a crumble mixture. Sprinkle streusel over the top of the bread batter.

Bake for 60-75 minutes...at 350. If using smaller loaf pans start checking the bread around 45mins.

Now for the maple glaze...

1 cup powdered sugar // 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon // 1 tablespoon of very soft butter // 1/2 teaspoon vanilla // 1/4 cup of goooooood maple syrup.

Soften butter in a bowl...then add the rest of the ingredients...whip together until it resembles a glaze mixture. Drizzle over the top of your baked bread...finally lick the remaining glaze in the bowl... you may or may not share...the choice is yours. :)
