Tommy Nelson, once again has sent me the sweetest book! Jesus and Me Bible Story Book is perfect for all ages. The stories and lessons are short and to the point...which is helpful if you are reading while a active toddler climbs in and out of your lap, points to all the pictures, and tries to take the book...all the while your older two children are yelling, " LYLA! We can seeeeeeeeeeeee!."
We read John 14:2 out of this book about a week ago. "My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? "We talked about heaven, and rooms, and houses. Then we decided to make our own houses (honestly can be done with items laying around your house) As always, Jude did the least amount of crafting that was needed to complete his house. Lyla tried to color all over her siblings papers, and when they were having any of that she proceed to color all over her face. Elisabeth, my sweet girl, made a house. She made rooms, and a castle, and even made living quarters for her mom and dad...b/c according to her we are all going to live together Foooorever!
The questions that stemmed from one little paragraph were unbelievable. Overall this was a great lesson to get their little minds working and thinking about Jesus.
Of course we didn't end our little lesson with out listening and dancing to this song.
