I love Christmas ten times more now that I have children. With that said, we pulled Elisabeth from school a few days last week to enjoy a little family time during the holiday season. After all, they are only little for such a short time...I want to soak that up as much as I can.

we went swimming indoors with cousins // met the grinch // found marley the elf // went to chucks // made cookies // vacuumed up sprinkles approximately 102 times // made a ginger bread house // met family for coffee and cookies  // had a cousin play date // made frozen hot chocolate // shopped for kids in need // watched my all time favorite movie // consumed more sugar than I would ever admit to a dentist // made snow angles // read stories // some of us played outside in the dusting of snow, while others of us watched from inside // went to church // talked about the power of the nativity // listened to christmas music // lyla danced her heart out in front of strangers // made paper chains // watched shows together and topped the weekend of buddy the elf style by snuggling //

How have you been enjoying the Holiday season?

I love this! And I don't blame you one bit!! No doubt Elizabeth didn't mind either. :)

I drink hot chocolate every excuse I get. And have been listening to and watching ridiculous amounts of christmas music and movies!

LOVE that! How's Elizabeth doing at school now btw? Curious.

All I can see is that Panera cookie. We totally had one yesterday!! How good are they??

I've been shopping. We decorated. And....Ava had her preschool holiday party this am. I'm hoping to do Disney on Ice this year!!!

You are so right, we have such a limited time. As an educator I know the importance of proper schooling, but I think our society forgets that the value of family is so important. The memories you make with your family when you are young shape who you are and those are the things you remember as you grow, not necessary that on December 8th 2013 you learned what 8 x 8 equals.

Thanks for sharing these fun photos with us.
