For those of you who have been reading for a while know I have issues with Elisabeth starting Kindergarten. Those of you who know me in real life know I really have issues with Elisabeth starting kindergarten. 6 days. 6 days is all I have left with that little red head of mine.
{I seriously just about cried typing that. I may or may not have had a few break downs already. }
I know that I may not share funny stories about my first born, the way I do with jude...or post tons of pictures on instagram the way I do with Lyla. But that girl of mine holds my heart. She is my buddy. She keeps me company all day long when the hubs is away, chats my ear off, offers constant signing in the background while I work... I just adore her.
I often tease Elisabeth and tell her lets send Jude to kindergarten and she can stay home with me ; )
I know she will be just fine. In fact she will be over the moon about school. It is all me.
So I am going to soak up the last of these dog days of summer and create a few more memories to go along with the one we already have:
swimming and jumping of the diving board/ late night summer walks to the ice cream store/ sleepovers/ slip n slide days/ trips to union station/ road trips to St. Louis/ all star game events/ making cookies/ discovering dinosaurs/ lazy days of watching tv and reading books/ fireworks and smoke bombs/ cousins/ more sidewalk chalk than we can ever remember/ picking tomatoes/ watching our pumpkins grow/ princess and barbies/ museums/ arts and crafts/ movies, popcorn, and snuggling/
I know exactly how you feel.
awww sounds like you have had an amazing summer with your little ones! You now get to look forward to leaving messages in her lunchbox and wrapping her in your arms when she gets off the bus....and putting her first drawing of her family on the fridge:)
Aww what a sweet post! There is just something about the first born :) I always tell my mom that she will always love my brother the most. Haha
Oh, sweetie! I remember those days. In fact, I feel that way at the start of every new school year. It's so hard to let go...
aw i can just feel your pain! good luck momma!

Awwww! I'm so sorry!!! That must be so so hard---haven't experienced it yet. This post is so sweet---and I hope you enjoy every moment. Good luck with the first day. :)
Ooh Christina Kindergarten is a hard one. But like you said she's gonna love it! Your're in my prayers
It will be a grand last six days for sure, and then grand new "first days" to follow! I just love meeting The Boy at the bus stop at the end of the day.
Hang in there, Christina!
This is adorable. I can only imagine how hard it must be to send a child to school! You can do it!
aw, she is awesome. only 6 more days!?! that is too soon. : (
Letting go in this small way, is one of the hardest things in the world. I worked F/T when Izzy and Jules were small...I would drop them off at daycare (a beautiful, safe place run by missionary nuns) and cry all the way to work. And then worry all day about the craziest stuff.
It's an adjustment. It will be hard. But you will get there.
6 days!!! Call me. I will cry with you.
I think that would be hard to send her to school! I'm sure she will do wonderful and hopefully you will too. :) enjoy the last few days of summer!!
yeah i could cry just thinking about it and ot's two years away....thinking maybe i'll just homeschool abd he'll never leave:)
Oh my gosh I'm going to be there someday...definitely understand how you feel!
These photos are great! And I hope you enjoy every last minute before your little girl starts school : )
Blessings friend on all those precious moments of summer!
awww...... I've been there. Looks like you are savoring every moment before school starts. You'll be like me.... my favorite time of day is waiting in the schoolyard for my girls to come out for the day. :)
i feel your pain. 6 days till my boy starts high school (i've been home schooling, but now he GOES to school. blah). i'll never be ready.
hope'n we can both EMBRACE the inevitable, and delight with our children in the adventures ahead.
