{ source + how to = the yummy life}

Fall is hands down my favorite season...with apple picking, the windows open, nights with the fireplace on, soups, pumpkin bread, coffee, visiting the pumpkin patch...what's not to love?

We live in the mid-west where fall is pretty close to perfect.

I can't help feel a little bitter sweet that summer is over...It is probably because I know what proceeds fall...winter...yuck.

What is your favorite season?

What is your favorite fall activity?

I love all the photos. Especially those pumpkins with initials. Awesome idea!

I love fall as well. Its just a cozy season. I'm excited to go to the pumpkin patch with my husband and 10 month old.

I understand about feeling sad about summer end because winter will come way to soon! I absolutely despise winter!

I love the fall, too! But my favorite is winter. Here is San Diego, winter is like typical fall weather. Plus, I like a little drizzle now and again.

Goodbye summer! Hello fireplace, hot drinks, sweaters and boots, and scarves.

I live in the Midwest too, and I agree that however fleeting Fall may be, it's nearly perfect!

I am excited about fall and the cooler temps. I love the changing colors outside. I love the thoughts of hot chocolate, sweaters, crisp air, crunchy leaves beneath your feet, etc.

Love these photos! Fall is my absolute favorite, and winter is a close second. I hate spring and summer with a passion! Mmm, now I want a pumpkin spice ;)

there's just something romantic I think about fall. First of all...any season that finds me putting MORE clothes on then off...is a good for me. I don't mind the winter months though. After a very busy summer I am happy as a clam to nest, just do projects inside around the house...in big chunky wool socks and sweaters! I am, however, oh SO glad to see the first signs of spring...and to start all over again.

This time of year is bitter-sweet for me too. I love summer, and have learned to see much beauty in fall. It's just that once it starts getting cold, the cold lasts and lasts and lasts. =) But over the last couple of years I have really taken to fall. I love spotting the changing colors in the trees. I love making warm soups that are just too hot for summer dinners. I love making pumpkin bread and pumpkin pancakes!! Yum! I love pulling out my warmer clothes even though I know I will be wearing them for the next many months. ;) Yes, fall is a beautiful season.

The weather is really odd don't ya think? Cold in the mornings and then warm in the afternoons. I never know what to wear!

I love this quote that you put on your blog recently. After reading it, I've said it to myself so many times. Thanks for sharing it:

" God doesn't call
the qualified. He qualifies
the called."
