Galatians 5: 22-23

The fruit of the Spirit is the spontaneous work of the Holy Spirit in us. The Spirit produces these character traits that are found in the nature of Christ. We can''t obtains these solo, we obtain these by spending time in the word, in the presence of God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit.

For me what I need changes on a daily basis...yesterday Jude was about as whiny as it gets. all.day.long... non stop whining...I could have used a little more patience :)

Which of these qualities do you want the Spirit to produce in you?

This is so great. I need to ask God to help me more with self control..I tend to do too much of everything.

Great Wednesday inspiration

gentleness and patience. i know sometimes my lack of patience would create a lack of gentleness in my actions. i hate when i get like that.

i love all those words, and I want them all to be part of my character. good reminder that we can't obtain these on our own, but only through seeking God and spending time in His word.

and thanks for your comment. : ) you are the best follower ever!

I could use some more patience. But I think that is why we are blessed with children to help us become perfect :) hehehe

Let's see... Self Control is the one I need to work on the most! I turned this verse into a song for my daughter, and so she's known this verse since age 3 or so. I put the whole verse to the tune of that song, "I had a little turtle, his name was tiny tim..." Do you know the song? It fits perfectly with that verse if you put the, "But when the holy spirit controls our lives, he will produce this kind of fruit in us:" part into the beginning of the song. Hmmmmm...am I making any sense at all? lol

PATIENCE! Ack, then awhile back I heard a Pastor say "If you pray for patience, God will give you a reason to show it" ...so I stopped praying for patience cause I was scurred! LoL But I'm back to asking for it, because He knows I need it!
