Guillaume Apollinaire’s calligramme poem “Il Pleut [It’s raining]” (1918)

I do adore a rainy day every now and then. It rained on our wedding day, which I didn't mind...it made for great photos...it cleared up by the end of the night so really it was the best of both worlds. They say rain on your wedding day is good luck, but really I think they just tell brides that so they won't have a nervous break down. Do like rainy days?

p.s. We live in the Midwest where spring storms usually bring tornadoes...thinking and praying for those in Joplin today.

I like rainy days when I have the option to stay home or just don't have a lot to do. It's when I was planning on doing something outside or run errands that it gets frustrating!

It's raining here this morning. I love rainy days but in moderation....it's been excessive this year don't you think?

Love these. I have a black moleskin journal like that one and I'm now inspired!

I love the rain. It poured on our wedding day, too! Like, "biggest storm in 10 years" according to the news. Did I mention that we had an outdoor wedding? Hahaha I wouldn't have traded the experience for anything.

Rain is fine sometimes, but not for weeks in a row! Ughhhhh I am soooo sick of rain!

It also rained on my wedding day. I was a little bummed because we weren't able to take pics outside, but I love the rain, so it was ok.

I love a good rainy day--especially when I can stay home with my hubbs and pups and drink lots and lots of coffee.

I am also thinking and praying for those who got hit so hard by the most recent tornados.

I was born and raised in Belgium "where rain is typical" (they even put that on T-shirts...), so I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with rain. The thing is, I LOVE rain on a hot summer day... but hate rain when it goes on for days, and days, and days as a steady drizzle with lots of wind, which in Belgium happens a all too often!
In fact, the weather has been a very strong argument in favour of Italy, when my Italian boyfriend and I decided a couple of years ago, that we wanted to start living together... but in which country?!
:o)

I'm a rain girl! I seem to be the only one who sings the rain's praises when it comes around here. That's okay, I love it! : )
