If your house is anything like mine, guest are likely to stop by at any time! We always have grandparents, friends, and neighbors stopping by. I like to make sure my home is always ready to host!
Hosting doesn’t need to be a glamorous event! You don’t need to roll out the red carpets to have a gathering. You simply need to apply a handful of daily habits to ensure your house is host ready! If you don’t feel like doing these chores daily...they can be done in less than 15 minutes...before your guest arrive!
1.) When the floors feel clean the house feels clean. I make sure I sweep everyday. Ideally I would love the floors mopped everyday...but that isn’t practical. I also run the vacuum on average 3 times a week. I encourage you to enlist a small child for this chore...they love to vacuum!
2.) A quick cleaning of the windows all makes it look like you did a grand cleaning before your event! My favorite way to clean windows? 1 part rubbing alcohol to 2 parts water. Mix in a spray bottle and use.
3.) Dishes. Make sure the dishes are done, loaded in the dishwasher, or put away.
4.)Make sure your bathrooms are clean! No one wants to walk into a dirty bathroom. Ewww. I keep all I need to clean im bathrooms under the sink, so I have quick access. A quick wipe down of the toilets + sinks and you are good to go!
5.) SMELL!! Make sure your house smells good! We don’t use candles in our house...because someone always knocks them over! Cleaning up wax in NO FUN. Plus, with a candle it takes a while for the good scent to hit the air! That’s why I would recommend Febreze!!
