Today's blog post is sponsored by Plaid Craft, Blue Social, and Mod Podge Collage Clay. I was so excited to receive a box of goodies filled with Mod molds, collage clay, Mod melts, and more. I patiently waited for Lyla to go to sleep so I could get to workin' creating some molds with Elisabeth. Speaking of youngsters...collage clay is not recommended for children ages 12 and under, and the product is not edible. Small parts are a choking hazard for children...

I decided to create a few starfish molds to use to for our summer pool goodies. These molds could not be easier to use and it took me about three simple steps to create. Step one: melt your melts // Step two: squeeze melts into mold of your choice...and allow to dry ten minutes. Step three: attach molds to objects of choosing. I mean, holla! three steps and you are done. {you can also check out THIS great tutorial for further instructions}

I also experimented with ombre style starfish...they turned out great....just cut your melts into sections and alternate colors. Attach these fancy pieces to objects of your choosing. I opted to visit the local dollar store and pick up sunglasses, flip flops, and swim bags. I created molds, and attached them using the melts themselves to hold the items to the objects.

Next up we decorated flip flops with the collage clay. This was also super easy! Just open the clay and add desired top and start decorating.

The possibilities for the molds are endless. We created sunglasses decor, flip flop charms, hair clips, attached them to lamps, rings, necklaces, charms, photos frames, hair clips holders, and even bags.

While I went for a simpler version of molds and melts because I was working with smaller children, you add as many trinkets and goodies as you want...just see the Plaid site and the photos below for inspiration.
