Christmas time. Christmas time is my favorite time of the year. I love everything about the season. The lights, the decor, the glitter, the giving, the food, the festivities, the gathering, the cards, the chance of snow, and the fact that Christ is sprinkled all through out it all. I have been making it a point to stop this season and soak up the small moments...to stop glorifying busy.

My heart has been full, I can literally feel the joy radiate off my children when I sit by the tree and color a picture with them, or take five minutes to play "air hockey" on the kitchen island. I have been making Christmas cookies weekly even though my helpers intensify that job and the clean up is almost un-bearable...because I know that I am making memories...and that I am fairly Christmas cookies just might be might be my husband real love language. :)

I felt like God softly tug at my heart the other day. While I might find find joy in the madness of Christmas, many don't. Christmas can be a time of sadness for those who have lost loved ones, a time of stress for those who don't have the funds they want, and a time of loneliness. I urge you today to take the time out and enjoy the simple stillness this season can offer. For those of you who feel opposite of joy this year...remember God sent his son for you. Jesus is the ultimate Christmas gift. You don't have to feel alone, or stressed, or sad because God is with us. God came through Jesus to be with us, to walk with us, the heal us, to teach us, to love us.

Isaiah 7:14
"All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means 'God is with us')."

p.s. A friend of mine liked this music re-do of halleluiah on Pinterest...take a listen if you get a chance...it is worth the time.

So beautifully written Christina. Love this. So happy for you that you are able to have those moments (and I cannot wait to share them with my little girl!). Thank you for the reminder!
