{ source: the olive tree } (free print personal use only please!)

wow. james just really laid it all out there for me the other day. just like that. bam! there is so much to get from James chp. 2 ... but what really stood out to me were verses 19 - 20  "you believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe - and tremble. But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith with out works is dead. " ... even the demons believe ...

my study notes go on to say: " faith and works should be together /// faith produces works and works makes faith perfect. "

in what ways are you showing works in your life?

for me it is in kindness, compassion, making god the center of my marriage, raising children that know and love jesus, reading and studying the good word, having a serving and teachable heart ... even when my flesh doesn't want to.

James was the first bible study I ever did---It is certainly near and dear to my heart for that reason. And paul certainly knows how to lay it all out there very clearly. I love your study notes that said :"faith and works should be together /// faith produces works and works makes faith perfect."

James always hits ya right in the face!
Someone once told me this Martin Luther quote: 'We are saved by faith alone, but the faith that saves is never alone.'

Thanks for the printable! :)
