On Saturday we had a girls days out. My mother-in-law, and sister-in-laws, myself, and Elisabeth. It was really nice not to have to arm wrestle a bear (aka lyla) while walking... or push a stroller through the store ... or take 9 million potty breaks.
But, the thing I really enjoyed the most was spending time with my girl. my sweetheart /// Prior to starting kindergarten, and lyla entering our little family ... everyday we just spent time together ... reading, playing, or just sitting on the porch hoping the ice cream man would drive by.
I love her sweetness. I love that she will still hold my hand while we walk ... and that she chose to spend her birthday money at build-a-bear to buy a wedding dress for her beloved "bun-bun" . Because I know that the above choices will not always be the case. I know she is growing up and it is oh so bittersweet. It was nice to soak that time up, and create this little memory to cherish.
miss roo, i sure do love you girl.
xoxo
I'm so glad you had a ladies' day out ... what fun! I think you gals should make it a once-a-month thing! xo
