devotional wednesday.

patience. I pride my self on being a patient person...but I guess you know the saying pride comes before the fall. I lost it yesterday...lost my patience with my small children. Usually I can draw from deep with in and compose myself before I act...but yesterday was not that day. I came to the conclusion afterwards on  why I don't like being rude, or impatient, or  short with is a bitter and gross feeling after you have done it. I know I have done it  before and mostly likely I will do it again. I guess If you want to learn real patience become a parent...right?

Afterwards I felt a small gentle reminder of how patience God is with us/me ... how many times he has asked us over and over to do something and we don't. How many times had he asked us to change or to let go and we don't. Yet he never loses his patience...his love never fails

Praise the Lord! He is good.
    God’s love never fails.
Praise the God of all gods.
    God’s love never fails.
Praise the Lord of lords.
    God’s love never fails
psalms 136: 1-3

Colossians 1:11-12  May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light

The woman of Rev 12 is now here. She is not a church, she is not Israel, and she is not Mary. She is the prophet like unto Moses and Elijah Matt 17:3, Acts 3:21-23, Luke 1:17 delivering the true word John 1:1 from the wilderness to prepare a people for the Lord’s return. God our Father will not put any child of his into a hell fire no matter what their sins. It never entered the heart or mind of God to ever do such a thing Jer7:31, Jer 19:5. Turn your heart to the children of God. A gift is now delivered to the whole world as a witness Matt 24:14. Prove all things.

Oh my gosh---this is so so true. And thank goodness He is so patient with me. I can totally relate to struggling with patience. And I always am thankful for His grace too. :)

Indeed. I have never been so humbled as I have been being the parent of small children. How is it that something so small can drive us to our knees. I did not have a stellar morning today. These past two weeks have been long ones for us. Even still...I was humbled today. Again. For the umpteenth time.
