Like almost everyone, this past week, I spent a lot of time thinking about the recent events in Colorado.

sickened. It got me thinking about loss and all the different types there are...

The kinds I have experienced and the ones I haven't. The kind you know are coming and
the kind that come suddenly with a single phone call and knock the wind out of you...

we have all undergone some type of loss and know the hurt...

I was reminded of this really great song called 18 bullet holes :

It basically talks about loss and bad situations. It goes on to say how it is so hard to love anyone on earth, to deal with loss, and the writer cries for God to help him out... the last verse goes like this:

oh God it hurts so bad
to love anybody down here
but oh thats right you
know so well
one thorny crown
three nails
&
spear

God knows the ultimate loss, he knows the ultimate hurt...and cares about every situation.
The only difference is Gods loss became the best victory...everlasting life.

"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart and saves such as have a broken spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him our of them all." ~Psalm 34: 18-19

I think the thing about all of this that stuck me the most was that one Mom had to receive a call that her son CAUSED this. My heart breaks for her. He needs Jesus just like the rest of us, and that is so evident.

Completely agree about the mother whose child did this act... He was her baby at one point... she watched him grown and now has to help him deal with the consequences! Horrific consequences, I'm sure.... It's sad! Prayers for them, prayers for the victims, their families, friends, loved ones.... Peace, Love, Light and Healing...

It's a hard go down here....this earth so full of sin. May hope pour out over all...everlasting hope.

Such beautiful hope. What do people do without the hope He gives?

Can you imagine how strong the shooter's mother has to be? How faithful? I don't think I could be that strong.
