heat wave.

Thursday, June 28, 2012

It is 107 degrees in the mid-west today.

To hot to go outside. To hot to take a newborn to the pool.

So I am always looking for ways to keep my sanity entertain Elisabeth and Jude when were are stuck inside for the day.

This is one of their favorite ways to read books...

Simply pair the book up with a character...it can be a stuffed animal, an action figure, a doll ... what ever goes with the book. Then they take turns "reading" the book with each character.

This should give you at least 20 mins of peace fun :)

Plus it makes reading fun!

This is a fun idea!

I feel bad not taking my son out, but it is too hot for this pregnant mama!

I still have not read that one. I have only read the mouse one. Maybe when I have kids ;)

Wow! I thought the heat was bad where I live but we haven't even reached 100! Staying inside sounds like a good idea :)

What a ridiculously sweet idea!
And I hear you on the heat. It is hard to enjoy isn't it?
I will be in Florida next week...I'm sure it is even worse than here. But I can't wait.
