real or fake?

I grew up with real Christmas trees...I love real Christmas trees.

Hubs grew up with fake trees...you know the kind you pull out of a box.

We compromise like any couple, and have both.

Have I told you what a wonderful husband I have? He doesn't really care about having a real tree but every year he trucks on out to the tree farm...finds the perfect tree...cuts it down...while I watch. He loads it up, he carries it in the house, and he sets it up...while I watch. All for little 'ol me. I am one lucky girl. Then his job is done...I am in charge of watering and picking up an needles... :) I think it is a fair trade since I am fairly sure I am not cut out for manual labor.

Do you put up a tree?
What type of tree do you have real or fake?

Christina, thank you so much for featuring my wee bottlebrush trees!

We always have a real tree! Nothing SMELLS like a REAL tree! :) Ah, that glorious smell of fresh clean frasier! :)

I grew up with real trees but my husband didn't either. Some years we have real and other years we don't....this will be a don't year. I was hoping to buy a live wreath or something just to smell the pine.

Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving!

We both grew up with fake trees, so we purchased a new fake tree this year for us. One day I would love to have a real tree! Sounds like a fun adventure! Loving your new banner, by the way!

that sounds like a great compromise! Growing up we always went up "to the hills" to get our tree, but after a few funny disasters we reigned it in and picked up our real trees from a local feed store. I love Grand Firs so much, I could smell it all day!

REAL TREE! Love the smell and the feel it brings to the house. I am in charge of watering too!

we had real for so long. for the last few years we pull our big bad tree out of a box. i miss the smell of real trees so i think we are going to buy a small real tree and have both.
less is good but, more is better! ;-)

I always grew up with fake trees, and my husband did as well. So now that we're grown ups and can make out own decisions we go real all the way! :)

He must be one fabulous guy!
We had a real tree for years...drove my husband insane. Especially the clean up.
10 years later...I compromised. Now we pull ours out of a box. I so miss the real tree smell.

I love real trees! I've had both growing up but nothing beats the smell of a real tree. Although I hate cleaning up those needles

We do fake, but my excuse is the weather. It was 77 degrees here today! Pretty sure a fake tree would become a fire hazard in about a minute. However, I've got some awesome smelling Christmas tree scented candles!

Your post really made me smile, I've found a lot of couples have this issue with the tree! I grew up always having a real tree, so I definitely think they are the best. Even though they drop pines, you can't beat that fresh tree smell!! Xx

Real all the way! I'm with you! :)

I have always had fake trees growing up...therefore I also have a fake tree! Which reminds me that I need to lug that thing out and put it up!! :)

We always get a real tree. I thought about getting a fake one for the boys room and my husband almost had a heart attack. :)
And I love the idea of going out and cutting down your own tree. We don't get to do that living in the city and all. It's very sweet of your husband to do that for you.
p.s. love the new design!

We have a fake tree and burn a tree-scented candle. It's the smell of a real tree I miss moreso than the look.
