Ok. weirdo alert...I can't stand balloons. I cringe when we go out to restaurants, stores, or anywhere for that matter and they are giving out balloons. My kids go crazy for them! They are a pain in the car and they always float up to the ceiling. Then they sit around our house half deflated for weeks...gag.
Just this Valentine's Day the hubs talked me into heart balloons for the kiddos, sure enough they were a hit. The most played with items since Christmas.
As I type this they sit, half deflated...taking up space.I would throw them away, but I don't want to deal with the drama that goes along with that.
I was hoping one of our dogs would get a hold of them and pop it. Apparently my labs can never be bad when I want them to...geesh.
Oh well, what's a girl to do?
Do you like balloons?
Ha! I love them. I love that they keep my Oscar busy. I also love that they make any ordinary setting look instantly festive. I keep waiting for them to seem cliche, and maybe in advertising they are, but a balloon is still a balloon, and fun ... to me. :)
I appreciate your perspective.
This is a funny post! I've never really known anyone to hate balloons! I don't mind them but honestly, they're not really a part of my life. I got my friends an "it's a boy" balloon and some flowers and I noticed it was still up when I went over a week later. I hope they don' feel this way :)
girl, i love your cute shop...id love to post ab it on the blog sometime, interested?! xoxo LOVE
Ditto to everything you just said. I love balloons but it is drama. So whenever we get one I tell my boys to send it up to heaven so that Grandpa can have a balloon and they always let it go and never cry.
Melissa, that is such a good idea!
I am indifferent to balloons, but the idea of having to pop one gives me nightmares. I guess from all those parties as a kid where you had to sit on them at birthday parties.
My oldest makes balloon animals and other balloon artsy things with a balloon pumper so we have balloons absolutely all over the place. The good thing in a way is that mostly they don't get unnoticed when one goes mysteriously "missing" since there are so many! You would love it! Hee! Hee!
I totally love them! amazing photos!!
Notice how baloons in a car .... always seem to float straight to the head of the driver? Not the passanger - they don't stay in the backseat where they started from ... nope - straight up front to annoy the driver. Newtons law?? They should be outlawed as a hazard to drivers :)
