Crispy Chicken Parmesan!

This is my entire family's favorite meal! We use any excuse to celebrate with Crispy Chicken Parmesan. Got a good grade? Let's celebrate with Crispy Chicken Parm! Earned a blue ribbon? Crispy Chicken Parmesan! Woke up and got out of bed? you got it...Crispy Chicken Parm. I'm kidding. sort of.
What makes this chicken so crispy??

I'm going to tell you the secret ingredient!!


Drum roll pleaaaaaassssseeeeee…..




My secret ingredient is Argo® Corn Starch!!! 


I think we can all agree the secret ingredient is arguably the most important ingredient! It's what sets the recipe apart and makes it successful. Argo® Corn Starch helps give you the crispiest chicken with an airy texture. Argo® Corn Starch for cooking crispy chicken? I'm sure you've used corn starch for soups, gravies, DIY side walk chalk, baking (the glue that holds desserts together) and more! But have you ever used it for frying + baking chicken?? Now that you know that the secret ingredient on to the recipe!

You'll need:
1 1/2 cups Argo® Corn Starch

1 1/2 cups of flour
1 tsp. salt + pepper + dried parsley + dried oregano 5-7 cloves of chopped garlic ( less if garlic isn't your thing) 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella 6 eggs + 1/4 cup half + half (milk is fine too) 4 pounded out chicken breast
1lb of pasta of choice 1 jar of marinara ( homemade sauce is good too!)

Be sure to pound out the chicken first!

Dip chicken into Argo® Corn Starch + flour mixture, THEN into the egg mixture, THEN back into the Argo® Corn Starch + flour mixture again.







Once chicken is breaded. Fry the chicken in oil over medium high heat for 7 minutes on each side. Be sure to check the temperature with a meat thermometer as some stove tops cook differently.








OPTIONAL: You can top the chicken with more mozzarella.













Sometimes we make sauce from scratch and other times we use our favorite jarred marinara. This is totally up to you which direction you go in.
