Every Christmas we make cornstarch ornaments. They are affordable and easy to make. This year I decided to make heart shapes...I plan on glueing magnets on the back of these...and having my oldest daughters class color them for a Valentine's Day party craft. These are a simple yet adorable personalized keepsake. These
would also make a great Valentine!
You'll need:
2 cups of baking soda
1 cup of cornstarch
1 1/2 cups of water
Mix all ingredients together and heat over medium high heat until he ball of dough forms. Set in a bowl covered with a wet paper towel to cool for about 10 minutes. Then using parchment paper roll out your Dell and use cookie-cutter of choice. Allowed to go to air dry for about for five days. Be sure to turn your dough over about once a day so both sides can dry. One star was dry you can color with markers...cover with glitter...paint...whatever your heart fancies.
Cost : $2 made about 50 small hearts.
