Mmmmm. Homemade peanut butter cups. What makes chocolate better? Peanut butter, the answer is peanut butter.
I've been on a journey to eliminate processed foods, and what a long journey it has been. Anyone who knows me in real life, knows I am a complete sucker for Reese's Peanut Butter Cups (my mouth just watered typing that sentence). Want to know what I am not a fan of? TBHQ and other additives (just do a little research for yourself if you are unaware of these). So, I set off to find a way to make my own peanut butter cup...ok I asked my bff Siri.
What I found couldn't be simpler! The best part I am in charge of what ingredients go into my sweets.
You'll need:
melted chocolate of your choice
organic peanut butter
a cupcake tin
cupcake wrappers
Melt your chocolate of choice. Line your cupcake tin with cupcake wrappers. Spoon a small amount of chocolate in the bottom of the wrapper...with a spoon spread the melted chocolate up the sides of the wrapper. Place tin in the freezer for about 5 mins, to allow chocolate to harden a bit. Next, spoon a little peanut butter on top of the bottom layer of chocolate. Then, pour the rest of your melted chocolate on top. Freeze for at least 30 mins.
Unwrap and enjoy the goodness.
Those look soooo good!! I must admit though, I'm sitting here eating Reese's PB Eggs while I'm on the computer and now trying not to think about all the bad stuff in them. LOL :)Have a great day!!
