Jude is a funny guy. I don't know if he means to be funny, but he is. He makes me laugh daily.
A while back he was holding a foam letter "C".
I saw it and I said, "Hey, buddy look the letter C like in mommy's name!"
He looked at the letter, and then back up at me with a puzzled look on his face.
"mmmmmmm. mmmmm. No mom your wrong. Mom starts with the letter M."
It was so cute.
I told him that my name isn't actually mom. He smiled, and shook his head.I don't think he believed me.
For the above activity you will need:
salt
a bowl
flash cards
Jude is not a huge fan of coloring, but he does like to practice writing his letters in salt. This was such a cheap and easy activity for him, and he was learning while having fun.

that's so funny! when i was teaching kids would often ask what my "real name" was. :)
oh that's just the sweetest!! what a doll!!
I love this! I love that he really thought that through and was like "no mom". Too cute.
What a fun way to write :)And that's so funny and cute! I remember the thrill of finding out what a teacher's REAL name was, it was like they became human when we knew, not just teachers.
OMG! What a brilliant idea this is! Sensory and not that much of a disaster. I'm in! lol.
And yes, my kids thought my name was mom for the longest time. So funny!
What an awesome idea, I love the idea of using salt instead of sugar so they won't be tempted to lick their fingers.
too cute, what a sweetheart!
As a teacher, I can tell you that learning by having fun is the best method possible! Good job, mama!
Awesome idea! Love the salt letters! There's just no convincing children that your name is not really Mom...been there, tried that and failed too! Heehe!
