" Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things."
~Robert Brault~
"Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it." ~ Proverbs 22: 6
" in the way he should go" literally means "according to the child's way". It is natural to bring up all our children in the same way. This verse however, tells us to see the individuality and special strengths God has given them. This shouldn't be an excuse to allow some children to get away with things while other don't...but more as a tool to develop their own self and to bring them closer to God. *

i love how when you're a kid there is nothing better than a hot day and a sprinkler. i wish life was still just that simple.
I love that quote and scripture. The quote is so true. Already, when I look back at the 8 years of raising my children, it is the fun small moments that seem so big and special now.
Love this! And the the picture is adorable-perfect summer picture.
Christina - love that picture.
And I try to live by the first quote and hope I do the best I can with them everyday.
Now about H+M being a 12 hour drive away....eeek.

Happy Wednesday, it's chilly here so I don't know about the sprinkler but I love the idea of it : )
I love the quote about enjoying the little things! I have been trying to do that with my little guy, because I know I will cherish those memories as I get older!
I found your comment left on Semper Wifey's post and came over to look at your blog hop.
I love the photos of your children enjoying the uninhibited fun of a sprinkler on a hot summer day!
My link happens to be of our 21 year old son...enjoying an adventure that I could not imagine doing myself! We are so very blessed to have him, healed and cancer-free, loving the Lord and able to experience even the crazy things like parachuting!
Blessings & Aloha!
Ha - that photo is adorable!
Great blog!
Sprinkler fun! Love it! And I definitely am trusting that God will keep his promise... if I train my child in the way he should go, he won't depart from it when he's older.
This photo brings a smile to an otherwise tough day. Thank you.
thank you for sharing this, and AMEN!
i try to remind myself that God doesn't want my children shaped in MY image, but in His. He in His wisdom and sovereignty created each of my children to bear different qualities of His image. i so want to train them to be who they are in Him, not in me.
thank you for the reminder.
great post! and so true!!
